This is a shot of the infamous Moustache Brothers, Pwe troupe (traditional Burmese entertainment) that combines music, drama and improvisation with a heavy dose of political satire that has seen Par Par Lay (performer in the middle) spend 7 years in jail for comments of support for Myanmar's Nobel peace prize winning democracy campaigner Aung San Suu Kyi!
Shot was taken at their Mandalay home after watching one of their live evening performances...
One of ~rivers~ friends dimikay has resumed blogging with the name of stars sliding after a gap of a year.
He attributes his coming back to Bryan Appleyard. Though I am not sure why. Appleyard recommends this photograph, so do I.

Strange what blatant egomania makes you come and find... I found me.
Bryan Appleyard had a strange effect on me that day... I won't explain why. I also disagree with 95% of what he writes.
And I'll happilly third that recommendation.
